The behavior-change app built for the day you slip — not just the days you don't. It starts from who you're trying to become, adapts to how you're actually doing, and is built to be trusted with what's heavy.
▶See the product — 30-second interactive demoStreaks alone don't change anyone. Identity does. So does the right voice at the right moment, the right habit for the goal you actually have, and a system that knows when to push you and when to let you breathe.
Pick 3–5 outcomes (lose 15 lbs, be a more present parent, ship the side project). Rank them. We suggest the daily reps that vote for each. You never face a blank "what habit?" box.
Coach, Friend, MSH (no-excuses), Kind (therapist), Crew. Pick the voice. The water engine overrides it when the data says it should — and tells you why.
Release for what's weighing on you. 5-Second Rule to break inertia. Crisis-aware routing to 988 + Crisis Text Line when it matters. Most apps don't go here. We do.
No 16-question quiz. No blank inputs. We meet you with a chat, learn who you are, and hand you the system.
A 60-second chat with our AI. Three prompts, voice or text. We infer your learning style, your identities, and your goals — silently. No homework.
3 to 5 life goals from a curated catalog — health, family, craft, work, money. Drag to rank. The order drives what we prioritize all season.
One habit per goal, scaled to its rank. Atomic Habits-shaped: anchor cue, 2-minute version, tiny reward. Accept, swap, or write your own.
Each completion is a vote for the kind of person you're becoming. The coach voice shifts based on how you're showing up — and we tell you why if it does.
Other habit trackers default to passive-aggressive guilt when you miss a day. Become does the opposite. We watch how you're showing up and we adapt — voice, copy, intervention, all of it.
You pick your default voice. The engine watches days missed, mood, vote trend, and self-reported needs — and overrides your choice when the science says it should.
Tough-love amplifies self-criticism for self-critical users. So we soften when you're hurting. The crew voice surfaces when you've gone quiet. The friend voice shows up when the daily ask got too big. You always see why.
| Days missed | Mode | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Steady | Regular voice + CTA |
| 1–2 | Nudge | "Fresh start" + 1-tap easy rep |
| 3–5 | Check-in | AI opens conversation, reads SDT slip |
| 6+ | Re-rank | "Things change" — re-rank your goals for now |
Type what's weighing on you. Crumple the page. Watch it go. Nothing stored.
Release is Pennebaker's expressive-writing research (lowered rumination, improved sleep, better follow-through on goals) plus the closure of ritual disposal. Crumpling what you wrote does something a text journal can't.
What you type is never stored. Not on our servers. Not in our logs. Not in the AI. We keep a count of entries released. The crumple is the disposal.
Coming in v1.1 — Anchor: the constructive twin. Press one short line into wax each night. Locked. Retrievable. The opposite gesture of Release.
Free tier: 3 / week. Pro: unlimited. Founders: unlimited forever.
We don't make habit-app claims. The engine is built around the behavior-change literature that holds up.
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."* Aristotle's idea that flourishing comes from repeated virtuous action, not from possessing a trait, is the philosophical root of everything we cite below. Habit-voting is eudaimonia made operational.
*Popularly attributed to Aristotle; actually Will Durant's 1926 paraphrase of Nicomachean Ethics Book II. The idea is Aristotle's. The phrasing is Durant's. We use it because it's better English.
Every rep is a vote for the type of person you're becoming. Goals come first, identity is the bridge, daily systems are the bricks. Modern operationalization of Aristotle's ethics.
Autonomy, competence, relatedness. The water engine reads which one slipped and routes the coach voice and intervention there.
Tough-love amplifies the inner critic. For self-critical users, we override to a kinder voice when they're hurting. Re-engagement improves significantly.
Explicit re-commitments on temporal landmarks outperform guilt every time. At 6+ days missed, we engineer one for you on demand.
Writing about a heavy experience lowers rumination, improves sleep, and increases follow-through on goals. Release is this, with closure.
A metacognitive pattern interrupt that beats the brain to the off-ramp. We make it a one-tap daily ritual and an emergency button on every screen.

The full core loop is free, forever. Pro is the power-user package. Founders is for the first 1,000 people who want to vote with their wallet.
Founders Cohort opens with the public launch and closes at 1,000 members or after 60 days, whichever comes first. After that, it never reopens.
No. Become is a behavior-change and habit-building app. We use evidence-backed techniques (CBT-style grounding, self-compassion exercises, motivational interviewing tone) but we are not a covered entity, we don't handle PHI, and we don't diagnose. When the conversation crosses into crisis territory, we route to real human help: 988, Crisis Text Line, SAMHSA, and findahelpline.com globally.
SUPP! is the social-dare brand inside Become. When you turn a habit into a challenge with a friend ("30-day Read 10 pages, loser buys the round"), that lives in the SUPP! Challenges tab. SUPP! has its own visual identity (the orange) and its own viral mechanic: when a dare settles, a SUPP! Receipt card drops. You'll know it when you see it.
Creators in your verticals — golf, fitness, parenting, writing, mindfulness — record short videos (15–180 seconds) for specific voice + mood combinations. When you hit a low moment, Become surfaces a video from someone you already follow or trust. Creators earn a revenue share weighted by completed plays (not just opens). It's the antidote to scrolling content: their voice when you need them, not in your feed.
Look at what you actually get — and what you become.
And if you want the math too: $199 ÷ $12.99 monthly Family = ~15 months. You're paying a little over a year of the Family plan upfront, and every month after that is free — for your whole household — for as long as Become exists. The price isn't the cost. It's the entry fee to a club that closes at 1,000 members and never reopens. First 500 join at $199, the final 500 at $249.
The 1,000 cap exists because that's the right size for a community we can actually know by handle. The 60-day window closes because honest scarcity beats fake scarcity. We never reopen, because doing so would cheapen what the first 1,000 did. Bargain-hunters won't buy this. The people who do are the ones who want to tell everyone they helped launch this.
No. We use Anthropic's API under their commercial terms, which explicitly exclude user content from training. We screen everything we send (emails and phone numbers are stripped; crisis-level text never reaches the model). Release text is never sent at all — it's processed entirely on device.
We're aiming for Q3 2026, with a small closed cohort first (Joe's golf crew plus extended network) and then a creator-driven public launch in Q4. Sign up for the email list at the top of this page and we'll let you know when an invite is ready.
